Somewhere between my third reread of A Court of Mist and Fury and a deeply concerning obsession with morally questionable fictional men, I realized something - most bookish t-shirts just didn’t get me. They were cute, sure. But I didn’t want cute. I wanted something that looked good and spoke fluent bookish. A tee that wouldn’t just scream "I'm a reader" but whisper it - stylishly.

So, I did what any slightly unhinged book lover would do. I made my own.

Marjorie was born from a simple idea: Bookish apparel should be just as aesthetically pleasing as the books that ruin our lives.

I’ve been a reader since my teenage years, but the pandemic turned me into something else entirely - a full-time resident of fictional worlds. I started with contemporary romance (sweet, fun, loved it), but then romantasy gripped me by the throat and refused to let go. The amount of emotional damage I’ve endured since? Immeasurable. No regrets.

With a background in graphic design, I knew how to create, but I wanted to make something that actually added to the bookish community. Not just more of the same, but something that felt fresh, stylish, and—let’s be real—worthy of an aesthetic flat lay with your current read.
